NZ Music Industry Info Bulletin

From the Temple NZ Music Industry Info Bulletin www.temple.co.nz

Devonport's new web radio is launched!
A station dedicated to community and promoting the arts. Jam Radio is located within the Depot Artspace, Devonport's artistic hub. Programmes ready for the radio's launch include punk, poetry, folk, blues and local music, literary readings, and interviews with artists, writers and musicians. The presenters and technicians are volunteers, the majority of which hail from the North Shore. The programmes will be available for on-demand streaming or download online at www.jamradio.co.nz.
The facility is open to all that have an interest in creating media for radio. There is an emphasis on people being encouraged to take control of the whole production, through scripting, compiling and presenting, to recording and editing. This is an outlet for people to self educate through their expression, and to boost confidence in their own creativity. They can share their ideas, and work with their peers and community. www.jamradio.co.nz Enquiries call Louise on 09 9632331 louise.evans@depotartspace.co.nz

Yep, you guessed it...we are looking for a committed and reliable blues influenced harmonica blower and / or vocalist for a blues band. Call for performers Auckland City Farmers' Market info@cityfarmersmarket.co.nz
Budget of $75 for music (previously it was on a busking only basis) plus
food/$ donations from stallholders).
The market mostly suits mellow, folk, jazz, rag-time kinda tunes but we've
had everything from classical to hard rock and as long as the stallholders
can hear their customers we're pretty open.
The market gigs usually last about 3 hours with as many breaks as needed
(market runs 8.30 until 12.30pm every Saturday) and musicians need to bring
> their own p.a/amp/instruments etc. We have shelter and free parking and
usually over 1,000 visitors each week so it's a great opportunity for
exposure/selling cd's.
Email with dates you may be free and if possible a link to enable us to have
a listen to your music.
